my VN11 has a towbar fitted but the sticker for specs has gone awol. it looks like it bolts to the floorpan, and then inside the boot there is another plate that it bolts to (like a sandwich plate). does anyone now how much weight this could take?
a tow bar kit you described is the highest tow rating kit holden released in the vn's... should save about 20 kilo's which will make a little difference in performance..
was actually after the tow capacity. i was thinking it would be the lowest, just cos it doesnt bolt to the chassis rails or anything, just the plate inside the boot that runs up to the back seat.
it will be rated at the lowest capacity for the fact that its not a fixed mount!!! At what weight I really couldnt tell you for the fact also most kits even though they are aussie aproeved differ form make to make ,,, most will come with a manufactures manual! (highest load rating and minimum always read the fine print m8!
I know for a fact the heavy tow bar kit that has the braces along the side of the boot is rated for 1500kg's but not sure on the standard pack?? maybe anything up to 500 kg's??? can anyone correct me on this...
