Hi,

Got a few problems with the gauges in my ute. The temp gauge often doesn't work, 3 times out of four. Cycling the key a couple times normally fixes it, but obviously their is no way of telling if its working for a few minutes when the motor is cold, plus its a pain. Also the odometer is frozen, and cycling the key doesn't fix this. The speedo, fuel gauge and taco work fine every time.

G'day buddy welcome to the family!!
Does the temp gauge start working if you tap the dash?? If so it could possibly be a "dry" solder joint.
Your odometer will have a stripped gear which if memory serves you can get a kit from such places as repco to fix this problem.

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.

Nah the gauge doesn't start working when you tap it. Thanks for the tip about the odometer.

Id try a few dash clusters from the wrecker and choose the one that works best and has around about the same kilometres on the odometer which is currently in your car..

Cheers,
Nodg.
