Ok, I would be the first to admit, that I have only a vague idea of what goes on behind a VN's dash, but do know that there are several "levels" of wiring harness, usually associated with the model, and what's hooked up to it. My wagon is a VN Series 1 Exec, and am wondering just how much trouble it would be to fit factory cruise control. I have a "work around" if that doesn't work, but would be nice if it looked and performed like the genuine item.

My alternate to factory cruise control would be to take the RHS dash switchgear from a Calais, and with some cunning wiring, solder the aftermarket cruise control to use the switches from the factory cluster. If anyone could advise me if that's possible, let me know.

Worth having a look under the dash, My vn is a series one too and had both plugs tucked away behind everything with gunked up ends, so the switch to level 3 cluster was a matter of pulling the level 2 out and level 3 in. took about 4 minutes

Just be thankful you got two legs to stand on and hands to grab sh*t with!
