looking out for some good front light and rear lights.
a white letterbox grille
and hoping to find a good holden steering wheel that fill fit right on and look good (preferably wood, any ideas?) so i dont have to order one.

most importantly inquiry i have for you is..
i recon il go with a seat upgrade while im there, now the question which seats from gen II/III commos (front and back preferably) would fit straight on? maybe caprice or statesman?

Body for body (sedan to sedan, wagon to wagon) would be a straight switch from any VN-VS. If they are powered seats, it obvously means a lot of new wiring to make them work. They interchange as easily as interiors from the HQ-WB Kingswoods, maybe even more so. I have doubts a rear seat from a Statesman will fit into a sedan, but measure everything you can on your back seat and find out, it may
fit just fine.

The most important thing to remember is if it has electrics or electronics connected to it, ask yourself "how much trouble is it to hook it up?"

Holden have a tendency to use what's sometimes called "universal tooling." It's where you have a wide range of models that use a lot of common parts. They don't change these parts unless there's a good reason, such as a newer improved version. I can show you a whole list of nuts, bolts, screws and other parts from a VN that would bolt straight on to a VB. If you write down measurements for things like distance between bolt holes, you can't go wrong.

While you're in the wrecking yard, could you look up the "wiring on a Calais, or a VN that has cruise control. My wagon is an Executive, and I was looking at the r/h switch cluster on the dash. There is a 12-pin plug in it, which I suspect is for cruise control, but would like to find out how hard it really is to fit it to an Exec. This plug on my car doesn't seem to do anything, but am curious. If you have time, take off the dash surround on a VN with cruise control (2 screws underneath the awitches, 2 above the instuments) and unplug the surround. I just need to know what the cruise control connector looks like, and if possible, where it plugs into the harness under the bonnet.
