Yesterday, I heard somthing from Vicroads I didn't think any state licensing office would ever do. Apparently because I was the registered owner of my VN when I bought it in WA, because I now have a Victorian licence, and have no intention of selling it, I don't need to have it inspected. All the stuff I was planning to fix, I will anyway, but it's a relief not to have to worry about what they might or might not find, and how much it will cost to fix.

If I were to move back to WA with Victorian plates, I would have to have an inspection to get WA plates back on it. No ifs, buts or maybes, they want to know it's roadworthy

Wow...would of thought vic roads will do anything to get our hard earned $$.

Similar to SA...parents moved from tassie to SA. Drove down to the office, handed over money and got SA plates. Not even interested in looking at the car

The only thing they want to inspect, is to confirm the VIN number and the engine number. Other than that, they don't actually care about the rest
