hi if it is a tacho .unscrew the coil-pack lift up coil-pack off the control module and under that there are wires negative and positive wires ,run tacho off negative wire ,run a wire from there to inside the car ,that is how i did it. i had two working tachos but i could only get one to work i had a small tacho which i wonted to put in car but i only got the big tacho to work so that is the one i have in my car now.i hop that helps you mate

i am not a licenced mechanic but i do have years off experience fixing and restoring cars and doing them up ,i can even do-motors-up,panel betting, spray painting, electrical work. i know What i am doing when fixing my cars, i am not saying i know everything on how to fix cars but i can fix them with information and help off the internet and this site.vncommador.com

i try-ed all the things you did but did not work i went to auto sparky and he could not get it to work ether .only if you have a original-tacho-dash it will work in dash Castor. try black-negative wire under coil-pack and run a wire from there to inside the car to the monster-tacho.

cheers mate i tryed it but the tacho jumped up to around 1400 rpm when i started it then stopped again so im takeing my tacho to mate mate house to test it on a vh to see if its faulty or not. i didnt think a tacho would be so hard to wire up in a vn.
