hi my drive belt tensioner pulley- has a squeaking bearing dos the drive belt tensioner pulley bolt come off ? 1 take belt off first ,2 do i place 18mm ring spanner on to drive belt tensioner pulley bolt and rotate the pulley bolt clockwise to take bolt and pulley off ? 3 how do i replace the bearing on the pulley once i have it off car ? 4 do i use a long threaded bolt and nuts and washes to press the Bering out off pulley and then (install-press )knew Bering in pulley ? i have the vn v6 gregory's manual but it dos not tell me how to replace pulley Bering and how it comes off. or should i just go to wreckers and get second hand pulley and install that ?

Have a look into new one's. Price may surprise you.

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.

The bolt at the front of the pulley is a left hand thread. To get the old one off, just turn it to the left to untension the belt, get the belt out of the way, then turn it to the right. The drive belt can only go on one way, just memorise how it was and put it back how you found it.

Last time I replaced that pulley, it was less than $30 and that was about 12 months ago. Once you have the new one (I found out the hard way that the bearing on those things can't be lubricated) all the squeaky noises will go away. The pulley and bearing are sold as a single unit.

Anybody who deals in Holden parts a lot should have one of these lying around. If not, it should be quick to source. Start at somewhere like Super Cheap Auto, and work your way up to dealers.
