hey guy i got a VQ stato and my tacho come on and off all the time i can have it smacking the rev limter and it only says im doing 3500rpm but i put it in my skid wagon and it worked fine and the tacho will on work when there is 100% power going to it cuts out if i use brake indercaters it bounces up and down power windows shuts it off so yeah what can cause these faults ? i convert it to a vn ser 1 v6 also but it shouldnt effect it tho
There would have to be a fault in your wiring harness then. Maybe take your cluster to someone who can test it for you to completely rule it out as being faulty

Unless you know someone nearby, I do know someone whom can test and/or recondition it for you. They're called Howards Instruments. It's an inner suburb of Melbourne.
