Depends on V6 and V8, but the engine computers do differ between auto and manual, and the pedal box of course. Change the flywheel, and there should be very little else. The clutch on them is cable operated, rather than hydraulic cylinder, so not a huge amount of work there either. You will have to source a manual shifter boot from an SS to fit the console, but other than the extra pedal, there shouldn't be all that much to modify inside the cab |

Switch the engine computer with it, and everything else is mostly nuts and bolts |

The computer is the same it is the memcal that differs. The car will run on either but not quite right. $500 for a complete car sounds good as a 5 speed conversion can cost anywhere between 800 - 1500 just by itself and with the whole car you have plenty of spares :D |
What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared. |

I hear that there were upgrades along the way with the memcals and ECUs along the way; Series 1 VN you HAD to run auto with auto and manual with manual; VP it was unnecessary, but not necessarily perfect, and by the time the VR/VS was released, the differences were bugger all |
