Physically fitting it in so that it doesn't look poo is really tough.

Electrically connecting it isn't too bad, there's a few ways to do it. Since you're putting one in I'm going to assume that you don't have the L2 cluster, the wire in the dash for the signal won't be getting used (I'm assuming a V6 here).

Pull the instrument cluster out and find a brown wire with a red stripe, this is the signal wire for the tacho in VN's manufactured after October 89 (you one). Take that as the signal to the monster tacho. There should also be a few other connections on the back of the monster. You can take power from the cigarette lighter power lead, and run the negative to any piece of metal which is earthed (no need to run back to the battery), you can also take illumination (if it's done separately) from the ciggy as well.

Where have you taken the signal wire from?

BTW: Welcome to the club, sounds like a nice conversion, any pics of the car?

You get a wiring kit that comes with the conversion. it plugs into the wiring on the motor. it goes onto a brown wire from what i can see.

P.S I'll find a photo and put it on later for you
