hi all i'm new to this site and need some help with my parcele sheif. i want to install some 6X9's in the rear but i'm a bit unsure if they will fit there with out some sort of mods first. any advice would be great.
hi there welcome to the this site.first of all try going through the topics in in car audio or other places there should be heaps of topics bout this. 1 thing i can tell u is that if u put 6/9's in ur parcel shelf be sure not to cut any metal because i just did that the other day and i told mouce in this forum bout it and he told me its very illegal to do that and he also told me if i went through this forum i would know that its ilegal im pretty sure it wont fit unless u put like another hight in it in some way but anyways welcome to the forum and im sure som1 else can help u more better than i did b4dn xxxx
Legally you aren't allowed to remove any metal from the rear parcel shelf of the vehicle. However, there's nothing to stop you using spacers to make the speakers sit a little higher.
If you want to run subs in the future, make sure that you don't use 6x9's. You'll get better sound quality from a set of 6.5" three ways when they work with a sub. The 6x9's get a little 'muddy' when run with a sub.

you can buy pods for super cheap or autobarn or where ever they are sold. all u do is screw the pod on you parcel shelf the screw your speakers to that iiam pretty sure you can get pods bigger enuf to put the whole speaker in
