hi ummm my cd for som reason this arvo wen i got in the car wanted to eject the cd out and it wont come out it says eject everytime i press it for like 1 second then it goes to the radio channel weird can som1 help

| check all your fuses and wires something is not functioning electrically. Or the ejection is just f@#$ed... |

| yh i got it working i pulled it out and started turning it over and tapping it and stuff still didnt work so i decided to pull it right out and unscreww all the little screws and open the cd player out but cuoldnt get the screws undone so i thought stuff it just put it bak in then i press the eject button all a sudden it works lol weird things can happen in mysterious ways b4dn xxxx |

First step is to get the disk out.
There's a really tiny hole on the front of the head unit, it's just under the slot where the CD goes, you'll need to get something long, stiff, straight and strong for this, that's thin enough to fit through the hole (a thick paperclip works well).
Straighten the paperclip and poke it through that hole, it should go in a few cm, if you push in the right spot (it'll take a bit of pushing normally), you should be able to force it to eject the disk.
Once that's out, remove the fuse which controls power to the h/u (yeah...I know...you'll probably lose all of your settings), leave it out for a few minutes, pop it back in and turn it on. See how it's going then.
You may need to use the 'factory reset' button, but we'll worry about that when the time comes. |
