Well, my arial somehow got bent and will no longer retract- its a power jobbie, the car is a Calais.

Has anyone removed and installed an arial on a VN before and if so what is involved? Does anyone also know whether a generic arial will mate up OK with the black bezel thing on the exterior? And finally, whats a fair price for a brand new automatic arial?

Thanks in advance guys.

Take the front passenger side wheel off (jak it up of corse lol) and remove the plastic wheel guard under the front quarter panel and u should c it very clearly ... its not a real hard job in fact just as easy as changing a tyre ,, and fromm memory there is another little blak arial jak that is connected to the main inside the car ! hope this helps a bit, being a power arial I cant c it being any harder than your normal !! except 4 the power connnector but hey wats a plug! ;)

For the antenna replacement, get down to your nearest Supercheap and have a look at the range of Aerpro antennae that they have there. From memory the power replacement antenna for the VN is about $80 (but I could be out by a bit)
