hay I have an issue with my trans in my vn v6 it seems to take ages to go into drive in the mornings, I have heard is a common problem if you go into overdrive then into drive and wait it will get the gear but now is also not going stright into reverse is she on the way out thanks
This could be caused by the old oil being a bit sludgy causing your problems. Once it warms up it will thin out and appear to be working fine. Have you serviced the tranny since you have owned the car?? What color is the oil??
What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.
i had the same problem when i had a auto it would take about 5 min to get into reverse when cold, i would shake the car and it would sometimes click into gear, once i did a service on it new filter,fluid-flushed it right out then replaced it after i did that mate it went fine for about 6 months until 2 gear just wouldn't work due to burnouts

I have had car for a yr trans oil is clear pinky colour doesnt smell burnt once in gear is fine for rest of the day ,
That oil sounds fine but before forking out for a tranny I would be giving it a good service including flush and filter and new oil making sure it is at the correct level when done.
