hi guys, just a quick one, im having trouble with my calais, if i let it sit for a couple of hours, it takes a lot of cranking to get it started again, just wondering if anybody has had this drama before, its as if either fuel is draining back to the tank or its not priming when you turn the ignition on... any ideas??????

| first off welcome, it could be a few things mate first off what do you mean by let it sit for a couple of hours does that mean you drive it somewhere then try to start it a hour later or let it sit over night in other words is the motor worm/hot or cold when it happens |

Could you fill in a few blanks, What model, series, petrol or gas and motor type
Could you also give some more clues, does the car go ok when motor is running, it preforms to what you expect or is the motor rough??
Welcome... |

When you first turn the ignition on listen for the fuel pump priming. It should kick in for a few seconds and then cutout. Is your check engine light on??

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared. |

| I had an issue with a ecotec failing to start just turned over and over even jump starting it as it turned out it was the inlet manifold gasket lacking water into the inlet and drowning the plugs hope this helps |
