If my memory serves me correctly, there's one that requires you to remove the exhaust manifold, and another one that requires the removal of the starter motor. However, if you go to anywhere that sells Holden parts, they can give you a straight answer about sizes. On memory it was about 25mm, but not sure. Just describe exactly where it is, and any good parts clerk should be able to pull up an exploded view of it. While you're there, check every other welch plug, hose, fitting, the timing cover and the intake manifold. I'm assuming you mean a V6, but correct me if I'm wrong. If one welch plug is leaking, it usually means that there is corrosion in the system. Another one might be on the way out.
The intake manifold is part of the cooling system, and when they leak, it's usually from the back. The timing cover, if exposed to corrosion will rot out from the inside. I don't want to sound pessimistic, but it's best to check it all now while the car is in your workshop. For all I know, the other bits might be brand new, but make sure. Buick V6s and Holden V8s are tough, but even they can only tolerate so much overheating. Also, when you replace the coolant, change it for new stuff. Coolant that's lost its corrosion inhibiting ability looks like someone peed in it. Rust brown means you have little to no corrosion inhibitor at all.
A Series 2 V6 (the ones that have a radiator cap on the radiator, and the thermostat housing is at the front) has a bleed valve on it. When filling the radiator, remember to bleed out the cooling system. Simply fill until it stops blowing bubbles, just like bleeding the brakes |

| There is also one at the back,Tranny has to come off.Unusual for them to leak on a V-6,the Series 1 all corroded within a year or 2 and were replaced by Stainless Steel so shouldn't be any of them left. |
