Ok, I'm having similar problems with-
Rev gauge
Fuel gauge
& Speed gauge
(only the temp gauge seems immune from sticking)
I take it the above solutions are also correct for mine?

I split the topic as it was a reply to a old thread! Like a few of the guys here have suggested , you can get rebuild kits for the clusters but u can prolly get a good working 1 at the wreckers for $20

3 can keep a secret if 2 are dead

the cluster will need resoldering, or simply buy another one from the wreckers (check it first)

Cheers,
Nodg.

I would just go in & ask for a cluster for a VN Calais?
could I fit it myself?
or could I take my existing one out myself & get it re-soldered?

it s=is very easy to do, a few screws, 2 bolts and 2 clips.. the hardest part is getting the plugs back in when you go to reinstall the cluster.... if i were you id splash 200 bucks for a brand newie off ebay, you can even choose what kays the odometre says!

Cheers,
Nodg.

Mate- easy as to replace. I had mine out to change the guage fascia the other day and it took about 20 minutes to remove, pull apart and change the fascia and refit.
