some say "they have a greater power gain" when changing from series one to two but some say there ain't no difference in doing this. Me personally with what i have read, if the coil pack is seeing better days as in stuffed then yes you will get greater power etc but if its new/ish then really it wont make any difference.
you can put a series 2 coil pack on a series one car but not a series one on a series 2 car.
the only real benefit on doing this is that the coils are a 3 pack design that if, lets say, one coil goes, you can replace only that part of the coil but with the series one coil packs, you have to replace the whole coil pack as its a single unit. |

| little bit backwards there jas! the s1 coil packs are crap they have a tendincie to crap them selfs and then thats the end of them because each pack represents a single cylinder, with the s2 there are three packs in built instread of six, the reason there made like this is because if 1 pack craps it self the otheres will compensate for the busted 1 ie; fire all six cylinders! You can swap them over but there is no power gain whatso eva! |

| the series 1 coilpacks actually run around twice as much volts than the series 2 units thus making them flog out after a few years |
