Has anyone here removed the sump on a V6 without lifting it off its engine mounts or removing the bonnet? I ask because I know I have an oil leak there somewhere, but lack the block and tackle to lift it, and have limited finances to pay someone to do it that way. Any suggestions would be welcome. It appears possible, but have no idea if it can be done for sure.

Was just reading a Street Commodores Technical Handbook that is solely dedicated to the V6 Vengeance project. The handbook covers the project from start to finish and one part i read was about the sump on the V6 and they say that the sump can't be removed without the lifting the motor off the engine mounts.

Goodluck with sourcing the leak dude :)

Damn! Have a rough idea of where it is, but have to confirm it after cleaning the crap off it. Still trying to get a job, hard to do in this carner of Victoria, but will be upgrading to HC licence soon. In driving semis, money will no longer be a problem.
