Have you managed to trace that wire to see where it goes? Do you mean that nothing on the whole car goes, or just that the engine won't turn over. As the previous engine/gearbox was auto, I would go look for something in the system to do with a neutral safety switch.
In my HZ, the wire to the starter motor is purple, but have no idea what that is on a VN. However, it's one worth checking out. |

You're absolutely sure there's no air in the fuel rail? Just an elimination process to go through, likewise the idle air control valve at the back of the engine. Sometimes when a Commodore V6 is run dry of fuel, and someone just keeps cranking them, you can get air in the fuel injector lines, which will have to be bled out. May be wrong, but another thing to eliminate. Kill off the blindingly obvious stuff first, rather than pick through the obscure things and feel like a tool for missing it |

Have you checked all of your fuses?? Also can you get some photo's of the plugs in question?? One more thing what series are the engines (the one that went in and the one that came out)?? |
What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared. |
