hi mate, i just had all my engine rebuilt into a 355 stroker, had it done by pavtek, they did an excellent job, you will be paying a lot more for a 500hp engine as opposed to a 400hp engine (i hope you mean at the flywheel).

here is their website
http://www.pavtek.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&task=category§ionid=4&id=21&Itemid=72

I got the 355 Holden VN Silver Accelerator Long Engine (440 HP)but the next one up being the gold one doubles in price.

then you also need to get youself a twin throttle body manifold (ie come racing) and upgrade your whole fuel system (ie injectors, pump, pressure regulator at least. finally after u have done all that you have to go for an aftermarket computer and dyno tune to get the best results.
it all adds up but i highly recommend doing it

hope this helped and didnt scare you off James
